The Salone del Mobile 2025 spotlighted a rich interplay between softness, structure, and sensorial richness. One of the most prominent trends was sensory softness, where designers embraced sculptural, curved forms that offered both visual calm and physical comfort. Sofas, chairs, and lighting fixtures featured gentle contours and generous proportions, inviting slower living and emotional connection. In contrast, angular and faceted designs introduced sharp lines and geometric clarity, adding a sense of graphic minimalism to otherwise tactile environments. This interplay of soft and sculptural reflected a broader theme of balance—between relaxation and refinement, fluidity and form.
Color played a central role in shaping the mood of the fair. Warm, earthy hues like terracotta, clay pink, mocha, and moss green were paired with deeper tones such as chocolate brown and red-oxide, creating emotionally resonant palettes. These tones were often applied to richly textured surfaces—bouclé, suede, lacquered wood, and polished metal—enhancing the sensory experience of each piece.
